This book is like a wonderful friend who came into my life in the perfect moment with words of life. I also love butterflies and what actually drew me to this book which sort of came into my life out of nowhere just like butterflies do was the cover of the book itself and the title which I love/5().

Butterflies is very well-written, detailed enough that the reader can feel Katherine's pain, but not too graphic for teens and younger readers.

The book reveals Katherine's spirit and her refusal to give up. It shows as a sidelight the many sacrifices made by her mother and sister out of love for her/5(3). "Butterflies" was a book that honestly surprised me. I don't often read third person narratives as the writing style is just not my thing.

Katherine's story as a burn survivor is too engaging though to put down, no matter what style it is written in/5.
